Appropriately 90 percent of women suffer from Cellulite, making it one of the number one additional surgeries that will be done along with other forms of cosmetic surgery.

For those who have tried lotions, body wraps and dieting programs to help remove and reduce cellulite, may resort to cosmetic surgery as a way to remove cellulite completely. There is however a new machine on the market called 'Smooth Shapes Treatment', which aims to treat cellulite. It is FDA approved and was developed by Dr. Steven Morris of the Plastic Surgery Institute in Midland. It is a non-invasive form of laser treatment used to massage and break up fat around the cellulite area. This process helps remove visible lines of cellulite trough several treatments and can be a less invasive method than cosmetic surgery.

Deeper Than Skin Deep

Filed in archive cosmetic plastic surgery on July 21, 2010

In order to face the world every day, we first need to face ourselves. Many people look to cosmetic surgery to solve personal issues such as low self-esteem, thinking that it's the only way to make a great outward appearance.

Cosmetic plastic surgery may make you more beautiful on the outside, but it's the easy way out. It doesn't really solve the underlying issues that lie dormant under the skin's surface. Facing them with the face you already have is a true measure of courage.

Whether you're thinking about cosmetic surgery in terms of eye lift, nose surgery, liposuction, or breast implants, remember that true beauty isn't just skin deep, it's deeper.

Instead of spending your hard-earned money on a new physical appearance, find reasons to love yourself just the way you are. If you can make peace with yourself, you'll project a different image from the inside -- one that will be even more beautiful than even the most talented plastic surgeon could create.

Not surprisingly in a time when the biggest movies, TV shows, and books are revolve around vampires and eternal beauty a new cosmetic surgery has hit the market -- this is what some are calling the vampire facelift.

The newest fad to hit the market is getting an injection of your own blood in your face. This procedure, though not technically considered plastic surgery is defintely cosmetic in nature. The process of injecting one's own blood into one's face leaves the face appearing more youthful and wrinkles less obvious.

These injections, known as Selphyl injections, involve your personal platelets and a protein that occurs naturally in the blood. The injection is free of any unnatural chemicals-- a la botox, and though new to the US has been widely used in Japan for some time. The precedure costs between $1,000 and $2,000 but it is said to decrease the appearance of wrinkles for up to two years.

Eyes are the reflection of one's inner self. To make them more beautiful, people are nowadays undergoing cosmetic eye surgery. The cosmetic surgery for eyes is commonly known as blepharoplasty. This process improves the appearance of the upper, the lower or both the eyelids and gives them a rejuvenating look.
Upper eyelid surgery helps in changing the outward appearance of a person and makes the face look fresh. It involves surgically removing the excess skin, fatty tissues and muscles which accumulates over the years. The incision remains hidden in the natural crease of the eyes. The lower eyelids are also surgically improved where the fatty tissues under the eyes are removed by performing surgery through the inside part of the eyelid thus making the scars invisible. This causes the puffiness and bags to disappear.
The persons who are interested in undergoing blepharoplasty should always collect proper information and go for board certified plastic surgeons only to avoid the ill effects.

Keeping Looking Young: Have A Brow Lift

To look younger, you don't always have to turn to drastic measures. Sometimes it's the simple treatments that can make a big difference. A brow lift is one of these treatments. A brow lift removes the lines of wrinkles that commonly appear across your brow, or forehead.

There are two types of procedures for a brow lift and you and your surgeon will decide which the best procedure is for you. One type of procedure, the long time standard, requires an incision across the edge of your scalp at the hairline. The brow skin is stretched to the hairline, the excess is removed, and the resulting scar line is hidden by your hair. Surgery is so precise these days that often the scar cannot be seen anyway.

Another type of surgery uses a camera underneath the skin to show where the valleys in the underlying tissue are. The surgeon then smooths these out before tightening up the surface skin.

Whichever surgery you have, make sure you change your lifestyle. Long exposure to the sun and harsh winds can damage your skin, so can smoking.
