Women undergoing treatment for breast cancer sometimes has to go through mastectomy – the surgical removal of the entire breast.

To say that deciding to go through mastectomy is a difficult decision to make is a huge understatement. But sometimes, mastectomy is the only way to survive breast cancer. I only have respect and admiration for women who has to go through breast cancer and mastectomy.

These days, after mastectomy, women doesn't only have mastectomy bras as another option but there is also breast cancer reconstruction — another surgical procedure to reshape or rebuild the removed breasts.

With breast reconstruction however, it could take more than one surgery that involves: adding a nipple, changing the shape or size of the reconstructed breast and even operating on the opposite breast for matching purposes.

Deciding on breast reconstruction is another huge decision to make, but most women who decided on it are sure glad that they did.
