Introducing The Vampire Facelift

Not surprisingly in a time when the biggest movies, TV shows, and books are revolve around vampires and eternal beauty a new cosmetic surgery has hit the market — this is what some are calling the vampire facelift.
The newest fad to hit the market is getting an injection of your own blood in your face. This procedure, though not technically considered plastic surgery is defintely cosmetic in nature. The process of injecting one's own blood into one's face leaves the face appearing more youthful and wrinkles less obvious.
These injections, known as Selphyl injections, involve your personal platelets and a protein that occurs naturally in the blood. The injection is free of any unnatural chemicals– a la botox, and though new to the US has been widely used in Japan for some time. The precedure costs between $1,000 and $2,000 but it is said to decrease the appearance of wrinkles for up to two years.
